that was my goal for the day, and i accomplished it about 11 pm.
there's now a good chunk of space in gertrude. you can walk up to a lot of stuff. the closet's still blocked by a congress of small furniture, and every horizontal surface has many many things on it. but it's progress.
b.h.e. and i are negotiating the redisposition of decor. she wants a peaceful, uncluttered, zen-like atmosphere. i'm all about the glitter and the tinsel. i asked her if she hated my faux-ceramic light-up virgin mary, and she consented to having it on top of the china cabinet. i don't think she'll be as amenable to the reintroduction of my various ren-faire diadems, garlands, and tinself pipecleaner crowns.
the demon winged mermaid from indonesia got put back up, though.
i'll take more pictures when gertrude is emptied and most of the stuff is where it's going to go.
I've always been surrounded by numerous, close Librans. I reconize the need to "brighten" everything with objects others decide --nevermind--I have never won that argument.
